Local storyteller James Spence draws from his book Scottish Borders Folk Tales, as well as from contemporary stories, in exploring the relationship between animals and humans in this collection of poignant and humorous stories. At the heart of this set is the title story, which concerns a young man’s strange encounters as he seeks his fortune in the rolling hills of the Borders. James weaves between the Borders Scots and English in this compelling show. Special guest Border fiddler Jimmy Nagle will play some local fiddle tunes. This event is supported by The Scottish International Storytelling Festival.
