What is needle felting? Needle felting is a dry felting technique that uses special barbed needles to entangle and sculpt loose wool fibres into sculptures and flat designs by repeatedly poking wool, which locks the fibres together for wonderful creative crafting. In this three hour workshop, Kirsty Hand will be teaching needle felting for beginners and people who have some experience in needle felting. She will be teaching to make owls that will be mounted on a wooden disc for hanging. We'll have hoot!!

Kirsty says : “I’ve always loved making and creating items and have been needle felting for around 5 years. I’m self taught and really wish that I’d kept my first item as needle felting is so progressive and so satisfying. I’m based in the Scottish Borders and can be found at craft markets and can also carry out any commissions.”
