Taster: Stained Glass Suncatchers with Georgia Collins 6th June 2 - 5pm

£50.00

Saturday 6th June, 2 - 5pm

Georgia Collins from Harestanes Glass Studio, returns for an afternoon session taster workshop creating your own Stained Glass hanging suncatcher or plant pot decoration using the Tiffany-style copper foiling method. Signing up for both sessions brings you a discount of £15!*

Choose from a range of patterns suitable for absolute beginners to glass. Learn how to use the tools, cut and shape glass, grind and smooth the edges before foiling and finally soldering. What is provided

- All glass and materials are provided, as well as use of tools, equipment, and safety equipment such as apron, gloves and safety glasses for the duration of the workshop.

- Patterns are limited to 4 or 5 pieces, to keep it achievable in the time frame. Patterns options to choose from such as flower, leaf, toadstool, heart, angel, star or bird.

Health and Safety

- Please wear comfortable flat shoes/boots, no sandals or open-toed shoes.

- Bring reading glasses for detailed work if worn

- Please tie back long hair

- Not suitable for under 16-year-olds due to sharp glass, hot soldering irons, and chemical flux

About artist

Hi, I’m Georgia. I’m a glass artist who runs a glass studio with my Mum Rachel. After studying design at University, I returned to my ‘glass roots’ and have been creating, restoring and teaching glass on a full time basis for the last 6 years. My work is mostly inspired by the natural world, in particular flora and fauna, but also land and seascapes.

I work primarily in leaded light panels or Tiffany style copper foiling, but also work with traditional glass painting using stains and enamels as well as more contemporary glass fusing.

  • Discounted double session to be reimbursed in cash on the day
